THE FLOWER SHOW. AND I MEAN THE GARDEN AND DESIGN SHOW AT HAMPTON COURT! By: Sylvie Reitman People, people, people! Design, color, action! It's time for the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show! We wait all year for this show, this one of a kind extreme flower extravaganza. This is the show of shows and it is the largest show in the Country.World.
 It is the most beautiful flower and outdoor design show one could ever manage attending. And Her Majesty is gracious enough to let everyone use one of her backyards. The show is held in Hampton Court, on the lovely grounds. This spectacular is in the yard of the most manicured 60 you could imagine. The Court's gardens are world famous; although the Hampton was already there, it was Henry the VII who commissioned the extensive building and gardens.
And what better way to view the Hampton Palace than on a horse drawn carriage ride. So after you get your bearings by seeing the overview of the show from the height of the carriage, you'll know right where you'd like to begin your tour of the Royal Horticulture's infamous garden show. This lovely, lovely show has absolutely everything you could imagine for the garden or solarium or veranda, etc. A The flowers displayed here are in tip-top condition; happy, perky.almost smiling. There are so many booths and designers and artists and craftsmen, it makes your creative mind soar! It also makes you wonder how you're going to take all of those plants home and where are you going to put that new lawn art! And they have made shopping easy for you, as they have a special site for your packages and purchases so that you may roam freely and comfortably. The designers who attend and tend to their booths are as enthusiastic to be there as those who attend. The artistes/craftsmen/designers have the sky as their limit for their creations. Since they truly create the garden, as there is no preexistent dirt or landscape, they have the opportunity to highlight their special talents. Some of the gardens evoke different emotions as types of expressions alter or encourage your mood. The gardens range from lovely traditional to "what's that?" All are worth seeing and wishing you could do and have to take home and claim as your own! Oh, and they do ship your freight to you, too.
And not only that, there is a place to store your purchases and well, it's a terrific amount of help. The Gala Preview Garden Party is wonderful and it is highly recommend that you bring your own basket of yummies for this event. There's a lot to see and they actually let you eat on the grounds. Such a treat to eat where fantastic families have lived and entertained and made monumental decisions. And what gala would be complete without awards. And the competition is fierce this year as with every year. The designers do ther utmost to showcase their expertise and to realize their potential as artists and businesspeople. There are many different awards. One of the most coveted by far is the prestigious award given by the Royal Horticulture Society. They are only recognizing 4 main competitions, which will be awarded, and they are: Gold Medal, Silver-Gilt Medal, Silver Medal and the Bronze Medal. The famed Hampton Court Palace Flower Show Tudor Rose Awards will be given to the best Gold Medal exhibits in each of the following three categories: Floral Marquees; Show Gardens; Water Gardens.

The Royals lived in the Palace as their home until the mid 18th Century when they changed their mind on residence and decided to enjoy Windsor Castle instead. The Hampton Palace is now used as a museum with some of the finest complete collections of art from the 16th, 17th and 18th Centuries. Queen Elizabeth during her reign had a Private kitchen designed and it is there where a restaurant now serves tourists.
viewer will find a vast array of eye candy, from the traditional to the outlandish that just makes you stop. Like a museum gives you pause, some of the water and flower gardens do too.
At this event the roses will be abundant and extravagant with a special display at the entrance. Go through the roses carefully and look and appreciate the fragrances. There is such a variety it is extremely hard to choose your favorites, but you will and when you do decide which ones you fancy most, you have the ability to buy it then and there.
