BUILDING GINGERBREAD HOUSES Let’s do something classic and build and enjoy the festivities of the season, all at the same time. Let’s do it fast and easy and decoratively. Let’s do it together! This easy craft is so giving. For a little bit of time and a lot of fun and gratification, you can do this craft simply and easily, and for many years ahead still enjoy it. Sometimes this is the only bit of Christmas you’ll need to perk-up any room. And if you just do one a year, soon they become a welcomed collection. It’s the craft that keeps giving and that everyone always compliments. Now, that’s something for which to be thankful. So often we have other things to do or we just don’t have the energy. Well, this year, this holiday can be felt and enjoyed even by the depressed and time-compressed. And it’s just easy.
1 gingerbread kit or more Newspapers or circulars Dish for holding decorations Can’t get out to buy the kit? No problem. Order it on-line and have it shipped right to your door. They are everywhere. Major department stores, even the supermarkets and drugstores carry them. And remember, if you’re really in a pinch, and need gingerbread house supplies or even just need a craft to do, the classic graham crackers and powdered sugar icing work wonderfully! See, there is always a craft around! Okay, let’s begin.
And it’s said, the best way to get to know someone is to do something with them and then begin to chat. And wouldn’t you like to get to know and catch-up with those who are close, but who may be far away, physically and maybe even mentally. Now, let’s begin!
Follow the instructions. Let me suggest: . You keep the base cardboard as your base for your building. . And, keep in mind that if you want a snowy door, roof or pathway, use a spatula to first spread the icing-glue, then place the piece. The weight and force of spreading will, most likely topple your structure. . Oh, and don’t cut too big of an end off of the pastry-aide the craft provides. . Also, a good idea is to sketch-out your design on a scratch paper and then execute the craft. Now, put some newspapers down on the table. Open your gingerbread house box kit and begin.
Try creating paths to the door, or maybe candy-hearts around the door and sashes, anything can be iced-glued anywhere. Have fun with this Christmas-craft! After all just when you begin to enjoy it, your gingerbread house will be finished, so enjoy it while you’re doing it. And before you know it, voila, the Christmas and Holiday spirit will surround you and it’s Christmastime in your heart!
Merry Christmas! And a very Merry Holiday!

Here’s what you’ll need…
Now you know, this craft certainly doesn’t have to be rushed or done alone. Consider it as a Christmas-craft that is easy and inexpensive to do with your collegiate children or your grandchildren. Simply give them their own gingerbread house to build and the two of you can do it together. Wouldn’t that be nice, an experience, together, creating a memory that is passed down for generations!
Read the box.
Let your imagination go. Or go on-line, go to google.com, “images” and search visually. See something you enjoy? Try your hand at it. Add your own touches. Add little candies you have in your cookie/cake decorations cupboard. Go outside and pick some twigs or leaves. Use old buttons!
And just remember, no one says that you may only build one! Now, that you have the hang of it, how about building another gingerbread house?
